Some Marsden savings accounts are available to open online, which you’ll find listed above.

It’s important to note that only our online savings accounts can be opened online. For our branch savings accounts, you must visit a branch to open the account. However, once an account has been opened in a branch, you can register for eSavings to view the account online.

The amount of accounts you open depends on the account type. At the Marsden, we cannot accept applications for a Cash ISA (either online or in branch) if you’ve already subscribed to another Cash ISA with us, or with another provider, in the same tax year.

When it comes to non-ISA online accounts, you can open more than one. However, if you’re saving into multiple accounts, be sure to keep an eye on the amount of interest you earn. If you exceed your annual personal savings allowance, then you’ll need to inform HMRC as you may be eligible to pay tax.

More information about your personal savings allowance can be found on the GOV.UK (External) website.

Our online savings accounts work much like our branch savings accounts, meaning you can make deposits, earn interest and withdraw funds (T&Cs may apply). The key difference is that the account can only be managed online instead of in our branches.

Yes, you can open a joint online savings account with the Marsden, with a maximum of two people. If you’d like to open a joint account, be sure to review the T&Cs to check that the account selected is eligible to be opened jointly.

Members may find our online savings accounts useful if they aren’t able to attend one of our branches to open and manage an account.
