Open a building society account online

Opening a Marsden Building Society account online is secure and convenient. Simply complete our e-Savings application from the comfort of your own home.

Here’s how:

  • Choose the online account that matches your needs
  • Click ‘apply now’ or register for e-savings here
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the secure application form
  • Once approved, you can start managing your savings online via our e-savings platform

Open a building society account in branch 

If you prefer a more personalised touch, visit one of our friendly branches and speak with a member of our team. They’ll be happy to guide you through the application process and answer any questions you may have.

What to bring:

To open an account in a branch you’ll need to bring proof of identity, such as a passport or driving licence, and proof of address, such as a utility bill. A full list of accepted identification documents is available via our Identification Requirements guide.

If you're planning on visiting a branch to open a savings account, please phone the branch before you visit to check if an appointment will be required. Branch telephone numbers can be found on our Find a Branch page.

Open a building society account by post 

Complete the application form and send it to us via post.

  • Browse our available savings accounts online.
  • If an account is available to open by post, you’ll find the application form available to download under the ‘Apply’ tab.
  • Download the corresponding application form and, once complete, return it to us.
  • Once we've received your application, we'll carry out an electronic ID check. If we need additional forms of identification, we may be in touch.

 

Please note that not all our savings accounts can be opened via post. Please check the details on the individual accounts to see if a postal application is available.

Already a member and want to use eSavings?

Anyone with a Marsden Building Society account can register to use eSavings. If you have a branch-based account and haven’t used our online platform before, you can specify which accounts you’d like to view online after registering your details. Once your account has been authenticated, you’ll be able to view your balances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
